Rome Training Calendar

We seek to provide a continuum of care to ensure that the needs of the children and other individuals we help are met to the fullest. We also want to make sure that families and individuals feel safe and supported throughout the process of opening their homes to those in need. To that end, we hold regular trainings and program orientations to support our foster care, adoption, and disability services in Rome.

Course Descriptions:

IMPACT explores foster care issues and challenges and is required for all foster parents who have not already completed a nationally recognized training program.

Special Needs training presents basic skills and knowledge for working with persons who have developmental disabilities.

Policies and Procedures covers Universal Precautions against bloodborne pathogens, the home Health and Safety Assessment, and the Independent Contractor Agreement.

Partnership 101 covers documentation and record keeping and offers helpful hints for working with one’s case manager.

Therapeutic Aggression and Control Techniques reviews LSG’s policies on behavior management and behavioral interventions.
For more ways to stay involved with LSG, see our events calendar.
