Program:  Refugee Services  


Summary:

Under the supervision of the Associate Director, the Program Manager will execute and implement the specific services of their assigned program and ensure that the goals and objectives of the program are accomplished within the prescribed time frame 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field such as international relations, social work, psychology etc. One year of recent relevant experience successfully designing, implementing and managing relevant international projects with U.S. federal government cooperative agreements and/or contracts. Excellent human relations skills. Experience hiring, developing and motivating professional staff that work independently and in a team. Previous experience managing staff, preferably in cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment. Demonstrated skills in marketing to high levels of customer groups. Ability to manage a program budget. Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English. Possessing effective, persuasive oral and written communication skills. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability and desire to work within a team environment and ability to work independently. Ability to make difficult decisions after reviewing available information. Ability to forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families in which they are helped to gain the skills and confidence to address any issues and problems they face. Conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change. Ability to set limits and maintain the helping role of the practitioner and to intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the persons served or other family members. Must own a personal vehicle, hold a valid Georgia Driver’s license, have appropriate personal auto insurance, and have a good driving record.
