Engage Your Community

Lutheran Services of Georgia - Grandmother and Grandaugher holding hands

Individual support of our work is a blessing, but when our supporters engage their church, school, or other community organization, the power of that support increases exponentially. Coming together to support LSG is a meaningful way to strengthen your community by uniting your neighbors to achieve a common goal.

Please contact the LSG location nearest you or check out some of our group volunteering opportunities below.

Engage Your Church
Support from faith organizations is greatly appreciated and  an integral part of the work we do. If your church is interested in getting involved with our work, please contact us.

Throw A Housewarming Party
Welcome a refugee family to their new home by throwing a party at which party-goers will gift the family with the things they need to start their new life in Georgia. Contact us to get started.

Help Resettle A Refugee Family
Work with LSG to help with the resettlement of a refugee family. This could mean furnishing and setting up the refugee’s apartment, helping to pick up the family at the airport, assisting LSG staff with the core services of resettlement, and most importantly serving as “First Friends” and cultural mentors for the family during the adjustment of resettlement.
