Summary:
The Associate Resource Development Director is responsible for the "day-to-day"
fundraising activities that support Lutheran Services of Georgia. These activities
include but are not limited to the annual fundraising campaign and execution of special
events. This position is also responsible for writing and submitting minor grant proposals,
as well as the development and maintenance of the agency grants calendar and
monitoring follow up grant reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in communications,
public relations, human services or related field. Minimum three years experience in special events
coordination and annual fundraising. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent planning
and organizing skills and experience. Ability to function effectively as a leader and a member of
a team. Demonstrated superior written and oral communication skills. Experience with public speaking. Experience handling multiple priorities. Above average skills in Microsoft Office including Word (e.g. mail merge,
tables, inserting pictures and other graphics), Excel (e.g. creating and using basic spreadsheets), and
PowerPoint (e.g. creating basic presentations). Must have personal transportation, a valid
Georgia Driver’s license and insurance. Subject to criminal background check.
Experience using a donor database system strongly desired.
