Summary: The Case Manager I position provides comprehensive case
management services directly to assigned refugees, monitors caseload to insure
that services fulfill contract requirements and completes comprehensive
documentation. Responsibilities include managing and solving problems,
teaching life skills, coaching, providing career development, recruiting program
participants etc. This job requires the availability to work outside the regular
working hours in order to accommodate the needs of new arrivals.
Qualifications: Four year college degree (BA or BS) in a related area. 6 - 12 months
recent equivalent relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to manage and supervise multiple migration/resettlement related activities. 3+ years
paid experience working with people from a variety of cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Has
demonstrated ability to organize projects and provide leadership in carrying out the project,
including good time management skills. Has demonstrated skills in writing, reading and
speaking the English language fluently. Has demonstrated skills in writing, reading and
speaking, interpreting and counseling in a foreign language. Must own a personal
multi-passenger vehicle, hold a valid Georgia driver's license, have a good driving
record and appropriate insurance. Knowledge of computer programs including Word and
ability and desire to learn new systems.
