Hold A Donation Drive/ Assemble Kits for LSG

Work within your community to collect furniture and household items for a refugee apartment or collect supplies for Inspiritus’ Refugee Children and Youth Summer Camp and After School Programs.. Collect items and assemble toiletry kits, first aid kits, or stock the pantry kits. We will provide a list of needed items for each kind of kit.

Throw A Housewarming Party for a Refugee Family

Welcome a refugee family to their new home by throwing a party at which party-goers will gift the family with the things they need to start their new life in Georgia. You can choose a room like kitchen or bathroom and gather those items all  the way to providing the furnishings of an entire apartment and setting up the home for a new refugee family!

First Home Creators/Community Connectors

After hosting a housewarming party with your group, help set up a refugee family’s first home. Then, stay connected with two to five volunteers serving as First Friend Cultural Mentors during the refugee family’s first year in the U.S.

Circle of Welcome

Accompany a refugee family on the path towards long-term integration. In teams of five to ten, support the family for one year through comprehensive engagement, assisting with ESOL, job networking and homework help, community orientation, and friendship. Support Inspiritus at a specified level of financial contribution. Collaborate with Inspiritus staff through quarterly check-ins and training refreshers.

Hope Tree for the Holidays

You can help Inspiritus provide holiday gifts for every child and adult served by Inspiritus in December of each year. Pledge to provide gifts for a certain number of people and Inspiritus will provide individual cards with the wish list of gifts for each person. Gifts are returned to Inspiritus for distribution.

Attend an Inspiritus Event

Join us for one of our annual events: Breaking Bread and Building Bridges Cultural Exchange Potlucks, MLK Day of Service and Learning in January (Atlanta), or World Refugee Day in June (Atlanta and Savannah).
